WHO WE ARE

In Virginia, the preborn aren’t safe—the abortion industry takes the lives of over 3,000 children every month. Dedicated pro-lifers in Virginia are taking action to save lives. Still, the abortion industry is relentless, working to pass a constitutional amendment that will make abortion a protected right in the commonwealth. In the face of abortion extremism, it’s time to take bold action.

That’s where Virginia for Preborn Justice comes in. We are a volunteer grassroots movement dedicated to creating a Virginia beyond abortion, and we want you to join us! Read on to learn more about who we are and what we do:

Our Vision:

We dare to imagine a Virginia beyond abortion: a state that models what a culture of life looks like, from local networks of support to pro-life statewide policies, powered by communities of people seeking to radically love and care for one another.

In a Virginia beyond abortion, abortion is not the default response or a “solution” to pregnancy; it is unthinkable. This future will be created by an interconnected network of pro-life organizations and individuals working to make abortion unnecessary, illegal, and unthinkable through localized strategies–strategies built on organized statewide resources and allies across the political and ideological spectrum. Virginia beyond abortion will lead the nation in establishing laws that prioritize maternal health and preventative care, encourage and support family units, provide postpartum support, and implement foster care and adoption system reforms.

For generations, we have allowed the abortion industry to control the narrative and instill fear that without abortion, there is no future. It’s time to remind Virginia that the preborn are our future. Building a Virginia beyond abortion is possible, and it starts with us!

Our Mission:

Virginia for Preborn Justice is a single-issue network that exists to create a unified movement of diverse pro-life groups to mobilize local communities by developing leaders who will implement varied strategies to successfully achieve preborn justice and a Virginia beyond abortion.

  • We are committed to exploring diverse strategies that raise public awareness to gain allies, mobilize Virginians to intentional action against the abortion industry, and provide tangible support to pregnant and parenting families.

  • We are committed to exhibiting radical love for the preborn and abortion-vulnerable families through active nonviolence and fierce compassion.

  • We are committed to creating a sustainable movement by avoiding burnout and isolation through encouraging intentional rest and support for pro-life people.

  • We are committed to cultivating radical hope through taking value-centered action and envisioning and living out a Virginia beyond abortion.
